Our process
You know the scope before we open a can of paint.
Four stages, the same on every project. The point of each one is that nothing important is left to interpretation.

Schedule Your Consultation
Tell us about the property and what you want painted. We follow up to arrange the consultation.
- Tell us the type of property, which areas you want painted, and roughly when you are hoping to have the work done.
- We follow up to ask anything we need in order to look at the right surfaces, then arrange a time to walk the space with you.
- Nothing is priced from a photograph or a square-footage guess. The walkthrough comes first.
What you do
Tell us what you want changed and enough about the property for us to understand it, then pick a time that works for the walkthrough. You do not need measurements, a product or a color chosen.
Walkthrough & Written Scope
We look at the actual surfaces, discuss colors and finishes, and put the scope in writing so the price is tied to defined work.
- We look at the actual condition of the surfaces — what needs cleaning, filling, sanding, caulking or priming before anything is painted.
- We go through colors, sheens and finishes with you, and note them down room by room or elevation by elevation.
- You receive a written scope that lists the surfaces included, the preparation for each, the products and finishes specified, and the price attached to that work.
- If something is not in the scope, it is not in the price. That works in both directions, and it is the point of writing it down.
What you do
Walk the space with us, say what you want and what you are unsure about, then read the scope before you approve it. This is the stage where changing something costs nothing.
Preparation & Painting
Surfaces are cleaned, repaired and masked before any paint is applied. The space is protected while we work and tidied at the end of each day.
- Furniture is moved or covered and floors are protected before work starts.
- Surfaces are prepared as agreed in your scope. Preparation is what decides how the finish looks in two years, so it is not compressed to save a day.
- Edges, fixtures and adjacent surfaces are masked before painting rather than corrected afterwards.
- Work areas are tidied at the end of each working day, so the space stays usable while the project runs.
What you do
Put away anything you would rather handle yourself, and make sure we can get to the areas in the scope. Anything you want us to move or cover was agreed at the walkthrough.
Final Walkthrough
We walk the finished work with you, address anything that needs attention, and leave the space ready to use.
- We walk the completed work with you and look at it together, in daylight where that matters.
- Anything that needs attention is noted and addressed.
- Masking and protection come up, materials are removed, and the space is put back.
What you do
Walk the finished work with us and say what you see. Anything you point out is dealt with before the project is closed out.
That is the whole process. Stage one is a conversation.
You do not need measurements, a product or a color chosen before you get in touch.
