Terms of service

These terms cover your use of this website and the general rules that apply when you ask us to look at or carry out painting work. The estimate you accept for a project is what governs that project.

Effective October 6, 2026

About these terms

This website is operated by NUE Paint LLC, a Georgia limited liability company providing residential and commercial painting services in Metro Atlanta and surrounding areas. On this page, "NUE Paint", "we" and "us" mean NUE Paint LLC.

These terms cover your use of this website and the general rules that apply when you ask us to look at or carry out painting work.

They are not the contract for your project. The estimate or proposal you accept for a specific project, together with any other written agreement signed for it, is what governs that project. Where this page and an accepted estimate say different things, the accepted estimate governs.

Using this website

This website is provided for information about NUE Paint and its services. The descriptions of services, preparation and process on this site describe how we generally approach work. They are not a scope of work for your property, and they are not an offer.

Please do not use this website to attempt to disrupt it, to access parts of it that are not public, or to copy its text, photographs or brand materials for your own commercial use.

Consultation and assessment requests

The consultation request form on this site is operated by PaintScout, the software we use to prepare and manage estimates. What you enter goes from your browser to PaintScout.

Submitting a request through this website does not by itself create a contract for painting services, and it does not reserve a date. It tells us you would like to talk and gives us enough to prepare.

All appointment requests are subject to our confirmation. The timeframe and time of day you choose are preferences, and remain so until we confirm an appointment with you directly.

A project becomes governed by the applicable accepted estimate or proposal and any other applicable written agreement — not by a request form.

Estimates and written scope

After an assessment we prepare a written estimate describing the work we propose to do: the areas and surfaces included, the preparation included, the coatings and number of coats, and the price.

The written scope is the definition of the job. If a surface, room, elevation or item is not named in it, it is not included. We would rather have that conversation before the work starts than during it.

An estimate is valid for the period stated on the estimate itself.

Pricing

Pricing is project-specific. It is based on the property, the condition of the surfaces, the scope agreed with you and the materials specified.

This website does not publish prices, price ranges or rates, and nothing on it is a quotation. The price for your project is the price stated on your estimate or proposal, plus any changes you approve in writing.

Prices in an estimate may change if material costs change, if the scope changes, or if what we find at the property differs from what the estimate was based on. We will tell you before that happens, not after.

Colors, coatings, preparation and coats

Color, sheen, coating product and the number of coats are decided with you and written into the estimate. Those written choices are what we are agreeing to apply, and the written scope governs them.

Nothing on this website commits us to a particular brand, product line, sheen, preparation method or coat count on your project. Statements about preparation and finish on the service pages describe our general approach; your estimate describes your job.

Color appears differently in a fan deck, on a screen, and on a wall under your own lighting. We will apply the color you select in writing. Reviewing a sample at the property in its own light is the most reliable way to judge a color, and we recommend it before we order.

Coating manufacturers change and discontinue products. If a specified product is unavailable when the project starts, we will tell you and agree on a substitute in writing before applying it.

Access and accurate information

We rely on what you tell us. Please give us accurate information about the property, the work you want, and anything that affects how it has to be done — including previous repairs, known moisture or pest issues, HOA or property-management requirements, and any restriction on working hours.

We need safe, reliable access to the work areas on the days work is scheduled, including access to water and to working electrical outlets where the work requires them.

Please tell us anything we need in order to get in and work: alarm systems, gate codes, parking restrictions, scheduled deliveries, or anyone on site who should not be disturbed. Please secure pets away from work areas.

If you are not the owner of the property, you are confirming that you have the owner's permission for the work.

If we cannot work on a scheduled day because access was not available, that time is lost from the schedule and may affect the completion date.

Existing and concealed conditions

Paint is a finish. It follows the surface underneath it, and it does not repair that surface. The preparation included in your project is the preparation written into your estimate.

Some surfaces cannot be made to look new by coating them. Failed caulk joints, rotted wood, water-damaged drywall, heavy texture, previous coatings that are failing, and settling cracks are conditions of the substrate. We will tell you what we see and what painting will and will not change about it.

An estimate is based on what could be seen at the assessment. Some things cannot be seen until preparation begins — rot behind trim or siding, moisture, prior repairs, unstable or incompatible existing coatings, pest damage, or substrate failure under an intact-looking finish.

If we find a condition like that, we stop at the affected area, tell you what we found, and give you the options before continuing. Work to address it is additional work and is handled as a change order.

Some conditions are outside what a painting company should take on. Where that is the case we will say so and recommend you bring in the right trade rather than coating over it.

Changes to the work

Any change to the written scope — added areas, a different coating, additional coats, additional preparation, or a color change after work has begun — is agreed in writing before we carry it out, with its price and its effect on the schedule.

We do not treat a conversation on site as authorization for additional billable work. If it is worth doing, it is worth writing down.

A color change after material has been ordered or applied may carry the cost of the material already purchased and the labor already spent. That will be stated in the change order.

Scheduling, weather and delays

Start dates are scheduled once an estimate is accepted and any amount due at that point under the estimate has been received.

Painting schedules move. Weather, the condition of surfaces once preparation begins, inspections, and the pace of other trades on the property all affect them. We will keep you informed when a date shifts and agree a new one with you.

Exterior painting depends on temperature, humidity, moisture in the substrate and the forecast. Coating in the wrong conditions produces a finish that fails, so we will not do it in order to protect a date. We may pause exterior work for weather and resume when conditions allow.

A start or completion date is a planned date unless the written agreement for the project expressly says otherwise. Neither of us is responsible to the other for delays caused by things outside our reasonable control, including weather, material shortages, utility interruptions, or restrictions imposed by an authority.

Crews and subcontractors

NUE Paint carries out work using its own personnel and independent subcontracted painting crews, as appropriate to the project. Which applies to your project does not change who you are dealing with: NUE Paint is responsible to you for the work described in your accepted estimate, and NUE Paint is your point of contact for it.

Please direct questions, concerns and requests to NUE Paint rather than to a crew on site. Asking a crew directly for additional work is not a change order, will not be scheduled, and should not be expected to happen.

Protecting your property

We protect the areas we work in, and we clean up at the end of each working day and at the end of the project.

Before we start, please remove or tell us about anything valuable, fragile, irreplaceable or sentimental in or near the work areas, including wall-mounted items, window treatments, electronics and art. We will move and protect ordinary furnishings as described in your estimate; items in those categories should be removed by you.

If we damage something, tell us promptly and we will put it right. Prompt means while we can still see what happened and address it.

We ask that you walk the completed work with us. That walkthrough is where anything needing attention gets identified, and it is the practical way to separate work we need to correct from conditions that were already there.

Wear, marks, settling, hairline cracking and similar conditions that existed before we arrived are pre-existing conditions. Coating over an area does not create them and does not repair them.

Payment

Payment is due according to the applicable estimate, proposal, invoice or other written agreement for your project. Those documents state what is due, when it is due, and the accepted payment methods.

Please read the payment terms on your estimate before accepting it. If anything in them is unclear, ask us before you sign rather than after.

This page does not set payment terms and does not override the terms stated in your project documents.

Project photography

NUE Paint may photograph or record project areas before, during, and after work for documentation, quality control, training, portfolio, advertising, website, social media, and other business or marketing purposes. NUE Paint will use reasonable care to avoid displaying personally identifying information, private documents, family photographs, security information, or other sensitive personal details. Project photography is intended to document the work and project areas. Identifiable individuals or named endorsements will require separate permission.

If you would prefer that we did not photograph your property, tell us and we will not.

Electronic communications

When you send a request or become a customer, you agree that we may contact you electronically about that request and that project — to follow up, to arrange an assessment, to send an estimate, to confirm scheduling, and to raise anything we find. These are service messages about work you have asked us about.

You agree that electronic communications, including email and electronic acceptance of an estimate, satisfy any requirement that a communication be in writing.

Marketing email and marketing text messages are separate and are not part of these terms. Accepting these terms is not consent to receive marketing from us. Marketing consent is given separately, you can decline it and still have your project, and you can withdraw it at any time by telling us or by using the unsubscribe link in the message.

Text messaging is covered separately, in the SMS/Text Messaging Terms below.

Email and text are not secure. Please do not send us payment card numbers, bank details, government identification numbers or other sensitive personal information by email or text.

SMS/Text Messaging Terms

NUE Paint LLC may send text messages (SMS) to customers and prospective customers who provide their mobile number and consent to receive them.

Messages may include responses to your inquiries, painting consultation and assessment scheduling, appointment confirmations and reminders, rescheduling notices, project and job updates, estimate or quote notifications, invoice and payment-related notifications, and customer-care communications.

Consent is required before you receive text messages from us. We do not send unsolicited text messages.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from NUE Paint LLC. You can decline text messages and still work with us.

Message frequency may vary, based on your request or your active project.

Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to opt out of text messages at any time. Reply HELP for assistance.

Marketing and promotional text messages are separate from the service messages described above. They require their own consent, given separately at the point of signup, and they are never sent on the basis of these terms alone. Where a separate opt-out keyword applies to marketing messages, it is stated in the message itself.

How we handle the information you give us, including your mobile number and your messaging consent, is described in our privacy notice.
